SKEET
Basics Below!
Skeet is the second of three disciplines we shoot at the range. In this game, there are two machines — a “high house” and a “low house” — situated at either side of the field. These targets are thrown at a constant speed and in a constant direction. A skeet field is a semi-circle with 8 shooting stations. Depending on the station, shooters will shoot two (2 singles) or four (2 singles and 1 double) targets.
Skeet can be harder for new shooters, as this game requires leading the targets
Skeet is a 25-target game shot over 8 stations. 1 through 7 are in a semicircle from high house to low house, with station 8 between the houses.
Every station first shoots a single high-house target, then a single low-house target.
Stations 1, 2, 6, and 7 also have a double, where the high and low targets fly simultaneously. Shoot the target from the closest house first.
On your first miss, you reshoot that target to make 25. If you do not miss, you shoot low 8 twice.
